Does anybody make a eight point socket bigger than 3/4 inch.

McMaster-Carr has them considerably larger--over 4 if necessary. I'd guess most industrial supply places would also.

McMaster has them up to 1-7/16 and I'm sure snap on has bigger, we have some older snap on ones at work that are over 2

How big do you need them.
I have a couple 8 point sockets made for wheel bearing nuts in the 3 to 4 inch range.

I use a 12pt socket on square heads. So far they have always worked.
