A short video of Bonnie chopping stalks with the 530 and 602 mower

Nice equipment, did the 1160 use the chevy 327? I have never seen a 1160, thought someone told me that is what the larger combines ran. Uncle had a 1010 with a six cylinder something and my other uncle had a 960 with the chrysler slant 6. The 1010 pulled good and would run with our pull type 96 john deere, but that 960 with the slant 6 seemed underpowered. That ford truck looks real nice too.

That Ford would be rotted away here. When I was young every farm had a truck like that. Be it a Ford, Chevy, or IH. Way overloaded, but they seemed to do the job.

Case never used Chevy engines, late 1010,1060,1160,1660,1885 used the Chrysler Industrial 318 for std power option, 88hp in the 42" machines 100hp on the 52" units, you could spec a Case 284 Gas or 301 dsl in the 42" machines,, also the LP version was offered in the 318 in both 42 and 52 inch machines,, the 52" units could be spec'ed with a dsl these used the Perkins 354 engine @ 100hp, reason being was two things, one the Case 401 or 451 would have cost three times what the Perkins did, the main reason was weight, the Case weighed almost double of the Perkins, in Rice that was Huge, the 1000 and early 1010 came std with the GO298 Hercules engine, I have serval here with it, Very Smooth and Quite Power.
