After spending most of the morning mowing the lawn and field across from house, I spent the afternoon on the 831. Rebuilt the wireing harness and hooked some of the stuff up. I shoulda painted the starter before mowing, but forgot, so it is still sitting on the sawhorses with tacky paint. Oh well there is always tomarrow.
The decals from Maple Hunter came friday, and the new two tone seat cusions from Speer Cushions should be here early this coming week.
About 8:00 tonight the wifey and I lit a fire in the patio fireplace and cooked a chicken brest and fresh dug spuds and peas. It was a good day.

Loren,

It looks like you had a very good day indeed. What a meal to top the day off, at first glance I thought maybe you were putting on a new ring gear LOL. Don

As Rod said, that Dutch oven(love Dutch ovens) full of that "candy" had me licking my lips, looks like pure enjoyment. Tractor looks good too.

Beautiful work as always, Loren. How do you prep the chasis with all its cracks, crevices, hydraulic lines, and linkages; especially if there's multiple coats of peeling paint?

Thank you,
Glenn F.

Looking good. But it looks like someone didn't clean their plate. When I was a kid We were always told to clean our plate because there are a lot of kids in New York that are starving to death!!!

No, it is a Denso, built in Japan. They put Delco and Autolite starters to shame. I have one on the 931 also. They spin the engines over about 15% faster and extraemly reliable.

Good to know, I had to put a wilson on 900-b the armature in the original delco couldn't be repaired anymore. The adjustable front housing looked the same is why I asked. Don't need to use decompression anymore on a cold day it spins it right over nicely. However, has an absurd solenoid.

What vehicle did these staters come off of? No tractor salvage yards close that I know of.
