Something good to say

Vermont you can renew online, or at some town clerks offices.
You can also make an appointment online for an office visit. They check you in on your phone, and the wait is usually very short.

In Wisconsin, we can renew by mail which is quick and easy. We also have a machine in our grocery store where we can renew and get our stickers right now. There is a small charge for using the machine.

Most times if you deal with people (which most government employees are) and start with a good attitude and expect the best you'll be treated in like manner. If you go in mad because you have to be there and expect bad treatment you'll likely have your exceptions met.

I can attest to that. I've been on Township Board of Review for over 25 years. We're the people you go to to protest your property assessment for taxes. Why I keep taking some of that abuse is beyond me. It sure gave me a whole different way of looking at people who's job is to help me.

Always great when things go as they should. But....reminds me of last November when I decided to apply for a deer hunting permit on line (Kansas). Poor decision. Usually I just go into the county treasurer's office, show me the previous year license, give them the money, they give me the permit and I leave. The on line stuff was a total disaster as far as I am concerned. Only got worse after I shot the deer. Had to take multiple pictures and fill out on-line info as to date, county, hunting area, gender of deer, etc, etc. Had to have my son, who was present, help me as he had done the on-line thing before.

Just don't remember ever hearing about any way other than in office. They never publicied any thing about it being possible. And doing that before there was internet. So no reason to change and possibly some other reason for going in. Going to have to go in shortly as less than 2 months till new stickers for plates.

Yup. I usually go to the grocery store a
couple of blocks from where I work. It
takes all of maybe a minute for the whole
transaction. In the Bismarck/Mandan area.
