Sorta OT...Hawaii Fire does it again!!!

[b:9283af42b8][i:9283af42b8]Hawaii Fire is a long time member of this forum, and about 1 1/2 yr. ago, I did two M/S carbs for his 8N, and 2N. Now I understand that he found another "N", that he bought, just to tinker with.....I'm thinkin'!!! :lol:
Anyway, for the third time, he has sent me a "Care package", full of goodies!!! That guy is a complete nut, I think. Gotta be, if he fights fires, and is a air rescue, for the "BIG" Island, over in Hawaii!!!

Just goes to show ya.....there are a whole bunch of Members of this forum, very rarely heard from, but almost always watching what goes on here!!!
Two more t-shirts, from the HFD/Air rescue,(one for me and one for the wife) a 1LB. bag of genuine Kona Coffee beans, a box of Chocolate covered cookies for my wife, and a jar of canned, jelly made by his Mother and Grandmother. Scored, BIG TIME!!!!! :lol:

I think I might just have to do another "N" carb. for that "NUT"!!!

With a friend like that......I could get dang FAT!!!!!

gary I was telling my brother about the pie. he said a lady sent him an angelfood cake to nam.when he opened it was about 1"" high,mixed with popcorn. lol they ate it anyway.while I have you. have you had any trouble with the needle valves sticking on the 600 carb.s?I was looking for your email address. this one is driving me nuts.it has been rebuild,Ichanged theneedle to the old solid type & worked great for awhile, guess it is sticking again.

Did a TSX580, from a 640 about a yr. ago and it gave me the run-a-round on the float needle and seat for about three trys. Finally pulled both the needle and seat out, and replace them both.....fixed the problem, right away<....BUT, I later got to looking at them both, and discoved that the old seat had a small drill bur in the bottom of it, so I took the bur out with the dremmal, and stuck the seat and needle in one of my cull 2N carbs here..........still in there after 6 mos.....AND still workin fine!!!????
Go figure!!!!???
Dang china crud, ya know.?????

Lesson learned a long time ago........always check the seat first.....then the needle!!! :roll:
