Source for gear reduction starter

My starter on my LS k 5055 tractor needs rebuilt or replace.it has a 55 hp 4 cylinder Mitsubishi Diesel engine .looking for a gear reduction starter source.I will give this site a call tomorrow to see if they can help me first..any other suggestions?i will check with LS also.

When I needed a new starter for my Yanmar excavator my local auto electric place had one on the shelf. It was gear reduction and much better than original equipment. Good luck.

My local auto electric place is probably where I will go.my LS dealer wants $2433 for a new one .I will pull start that tractor before I spend that much

It was a little high;$265.00 to replace the solenoid but way cheaper than 2433 bucks for a new one.
