Source for NEW rear rim 22"?

The last time I had my tire off the rim was badly rusted. I already replaced the front rims with the new ones from Hoye years ago (kept the old ones for spares). Hoye doesn't offer 22" rear rims.

I found a site in new zealand that (used?) to sell 22" yanmar rims, but the product listing is now blank.

Sent an email to that site's contact address but don't expect to hear back.

Has anyone else had luck locating a source for new 22" rims?

Still have it. No trouble since I reassemled the fwd shaft.

First though is getting some rims, the insides of mine are badly rusted with a good bit of metal rot. Hope I can find somewhere to make me a set affordably.

After learning how much salvage yards charge for used parts where there is no new part available, no. My Yanmar is not a collectors item. It's a work tractor. I need working person's prices on parts not collectors pricing. I've argued this before and don't want to go into it again.

Hope I can find someone who can just make a set of rims using some standard (new) outer rim hoops.

No, haven't gone that direction. The inside of the rims showed considerable rust and some metal rot. Bondo is great for filling in dents but it not designed to be structural.

My preference is to find some 22' rim outers and if need be, cut and weld the existing square center plate in the new outers. The only other tractor I could find with 22" rims is a Kubota LM1500, though I'm not sure the rim bolt pattern is the same. In any case, none of the grey market parts houses sell rear rims. I did call one close to me and they didn't have any 22" rims in stock (used or of course new).

Let me know if you find some. We have looked high and low and everywhere in between for 22" wheels or even just the outer hoops.

Will do. I've seen some 8x22" tractor tires on some of the high performance swamp buggies, but the rims on those things aren't anywhere close to what we'd find on a tractor.

I know the 22" rims would be "niche market" stuff, but there are a lot of tractors out there with rusty rims. I'd happily pay 250 a rim if I could just find them. I'd also need the rear rice lug tires which are finally back in production, but those too are pretty expensive (500 for the set).

That is actually where a lot of our used 22" wheels ended up.

Beware of 22.5" wheels. There are some 22.5" Irrigation pivot wheels out there that look like they will work but they are 1/2" too big.

Good to know, thanks.
