Been in South Africa for a week, and finally could snap a photo of a tractor being used.

We have a lot of transitional help at the local grain elevators and they are from South Africa.

When I was driving grain truck in the Red River valley in MN 13 years ago the guy running the combine was from S Africa, rode with him and visited a little. Nice guy, a long distance migrant worker!

The place where I was last week had huge Eucalyptus plantations dedicated to paper production and also pineapple and macadamia nuts.
A lot of land was game reserves with at least one of 150,000 acres. The safari lodge we stayed at has a private reserve of around 4000 acres. All of the reserves were completely fenced with 8 foot tall woven wire and added electric fence as well. Most had razor wire on top.
4000 acres was enough for 3 elephants. No large cats allowed, as they required more land.
Rhinos, giraffes and zebras, warthogs, antelope, were all there. Also hippos.
