Soybeans for feed?

Not true. Used to feed the hogs the clean up from filling the bean bins. Never had an issue.

Undigested, yes. Deadly, no.
Isn't there a difference between undigested and totally turned into mush? I recall reading that while a hog may pass corn kernels that look whole, they still absorb a great deal of the nutrients from it anyway??? Same with beans? gm
 
when you pail in the soy while the barley and oats is augered in never has a problem.
I’m just going by what I was taught at school when we were doing some feeding trials at the university dairy farm, and about 4 years in the feed business.

That is what I was taught as well. I had a ag guy tell me that even the oats when passed through are whole looking there is no nutrients left in them. There is only one problem with whole, that is if feeding wet feed(silage ) and not enough dry matter it passes through the cow so fast they can't absorb all the nutrients.
