Spark plugs and electronic ignition

I have a 950 ford. The engine is bored to 4" with stock stroke. I'm fouling some plugs out so I'm thinking of putting a hotter coil and better plug in it and also electronic ignition in the distributor. So my question is what spark plugs will do better? Ive been running autolite 437. Will the coil and ignition help because I'm trying to justify the 150 I would have to spend. If it will help I will do I just don't know that it will help. Thanks billy

What is the gap on your plugs? Set them to a much
bigger gap to keep them from fouling, if your coil
is hot enough. Any 12 volt system should fire a
.045 gap.

Find out WHY it is fouling those plugs...

Very well may be Broken Rings...and they will only scar your cylinders...and Hotter plugs will NOT Fix it..
I would put the money into finding the Problem..

I had some carb work done on it and it always ran rich. It has had black smoke since at idle and all the way through the rpm. I don't think it's anything with the ring because it was rebuilt with new sleeves pistons and ring. I've only got 1 hr on the motor. So I think it fouled them because of the rich. I've adjusted the carb by sound and sight and the smoke is better but I think it might help to do these thing but I thought I might get some input. Thanks for all the responses. Billy

Your carb is jetted too rich for engine size. Also you probably have not seated the rings yet, unless you have had it under load.

sparkplug.com will tell you the right size plug to
use on any motor. For tractors go to the industrial
link then you can go to farm tractors
