Spark Plugs JD 1931 D

I am restoring a JD Model D 1931. It had champion W-18 spark plugs in them. But What I have saw elsewhere on the net is NOT to use champion spark plugs. What is a good replacement for these. Any help would be appreciated. THank You

Best I recall (Sorry Im NOT into D's) those take the older style 7/8 plugs, and if so??? I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the hotter side wire electrode deep reach Autolite 3077. The Autolite conventional electrode in a 7/8 plug is the 3076 one heat range lower, but I have better luck with the hotter 3077. If its the large pipe thread plugs Im out to lunch...........
