spark plugs

If 18 mm plugs I use NON resistor Autolite 3116 ESPECIALLY if a Magneto Ignition. If its a battery powered coil distributor Ignition I still use NON resistor 3116 but if you insist on a resistor Plug, Id run the hotter 388 Autolite versus the closer to stock slightly cooler 386...

If the older (like many Unstlyed use) 7/8 plug then the hotter deep reach side wire electrode Autolite 3077.

MORE IMPORTANT THEN BRAND to avoid premature carbon fouling in light duty use tractors, is to use T stats or air restrictions (shutters or curtains) to get n keep the temp up to 180 and over,,,,,,,,dont run the carb any richer then necessary,,,,,,,,,,,,use hotter plugs

If you use the tractor long hard hours of use and keep her hot and shes not an oil burner, you may get by fine with the 18mm Autolite 388 or 7/8 3076 but if light duty and/or an oil burner Id go with the above

Your tractor your choice and theres a ton of OPINIONS on this question, FWIW mines above.

The Champion D23 now converts to 523, I do agree with other statement, I have never had good luck with champion. check out neat website

Unless you are listening to AM broadcast radio or operating a HF HAM rig while operating your A.
Resistor core plugs are not needed or wanted. Use non-resistor Autoloite 3116 and solid core ignition wires.
