spear head logo

Can someone assist.
ive got a 1594 84Model and my girlie has a TEA20 i was fanging around on the fergi and noticed a spear head shaped logo in the side of the trans case. my 1594 has the same on the rail next to the engine.

Is this a foundry stamp or something?????

Without a picture it is a little hard to be sure what you are looking at. Most major castings have a little thing that looks something like a one handed clock one to two inches in diameter that tells what shift made the casting for quality assurance purposes. They most likely have a serial number that can be tracked to tell what day they were poured. The workers seem to be a little more quality concience if they know the part can be tracked back to them.

thanks DK for that.
ive seen the stamp your talking about. Its not he one you describe. its about an inch and a half and i dont know how else to describe it but it looks like a spear head.ill take a photo and add it to the forum next time im on the girl.

From East central South Dakota USA. Fall is in the air here. Let us know what is going on down under this summer so we can dream of the warmer weather when temps are below zero.
