Specialty socket

Does anyone know if snap on, Mac or anybody else makes a shallow impact swivel socket in 1 1/8" ? I'm working on our crushed at work and there are 8 bolts that need to be very tight. All the others I can use my 1/2" impact on except these. They are nuts on tension bolts on a screen deck that constantly shakes. The old method is using an open end wrench. Doesn't work too good because of the amount of room and takes forever. This is my first go around on this particular project and think there has to be a better way. I spent an hour on 4 bolts this afternoon and I am still not done. I am giving it everything my 200 pound 6' body has but there is still a ways to go before their tight enough. Ratcheting wrench would be better than what I'm using now, but an impact would be the best.

Just search Snap-on, likely the others as well. Most of the tension bolts I remember on screens were too long to use a shallow socket on, a few a deep socket would work on but most went the way you're doing it now. It is great for you if they have changed to where a shallow socket and impact will work. Or are you going to have to keep cutting them off? GearWrenches do work good in many places.

The bolts we have barely stick out past the nuts. They are some fancy cone
shaped nut. Anything I can come up with is better than "this is the way we
always have done it" mentality. This is 2019. There has to be a better way.
I did look on their website, but couldn't find it. Thanks !

McMaster-Carr also lists one. 43 bucks. Looks to be part # 5549A179 or search for swivel socket if the link to the page doesn't come up.
swivel socket

The only down side to a swivel socket is you will loose torque on them . I have a full set up to 1 1/2 inch and they do get you to the point that ya are somewhat tight but not tight enough and to finish the job it falls on what ever will work , breaker bar and socket , long combination wrench . The steeper the angle the less torque will be applied. when using and impact the closer the gun to the fastener and the shorter the socket the more torque is applied . .You add in and extension and you loose , add in a swivel you loose , add in a long extension you will loose even more .

I've taken standard sockets and cut them shorter to fit into tight places. Usually a standard socket isn't too difficult to trim down.

I bought a set of swivel 1/2 drive impact sockets, later I measured a standard impact socket with an 1/2 drive swivel on it,exactly the same length. I recommend just buying the swivel, and I have worn out a bunch of them,Snap on with the pin not(flying sockets are not funny) the ball retainer is the only one to buy. We did a lot of suspension work and used two swivels stacked together a lot. Matco,Mac & Craftsman I have broken them all.
