Speed control rod adjustment

I have a 1952 jd model A what is the adjustment procedure for speed control rod from stand to governor spring?? Thanks

I always had trouble adjusting mine too. I think it needs to be where it allows the spring to just contact the governor arm when against the idle stop.

The service manual calls for the throttle lever to be at full throttle and the link from the governor to the carburetor to be adjusted 1/2 the diameter of the link too short.

Thanks but I talking about the other rod between the governor and the throttle on control stand.
