Pretty well-made, I keep it around to look at. Jaws open as it swivels. Has a little stop so you can use it in either direction. Never tried to actually use it.

The farmer that I worked for(1960ish), startd selling those as a sideline. I bought three an 8", 10" and 12" for my dad, for Christmas. Never did hear what he actually thought of them. I doubt he would have told me if they were a piece of garbage.
 
This actually feels like a quality tool, has good weight and feel. I suspect it might have been better quality back in the day. Now I need to try it out on something. Just hanging on the wall now.
 
I had one years ago. I found that the thin jaw only grabbed the top of the nut and if the wall of the nut was short, it didn't work at all. Also, the head was too big to fit in a lot of spaces. Think it just went away.
