speedometer gear

Is there a web site that can be used to determine what number of teeth to use for the driven gear, for a 66 ford pickup

It's kind of a long shot, but if there is a Ford dealer in your area that has been in business for some time, they may still have the info. on hand. ('Course, maybe you have tried that already.) If there is anything left of the original gear you should be able to count the teeth, unless you are switching gear ratios. Good Luck.

maybe try FTE//ford truck enthusiast.com--might get on some topic like here on y-t about your question...might need to register on site like y-t

PS, I just Googled "speedometer gears" and a whole mess of stuff came up. There are places all over that sell speedometer gears, someone should be able to help you.

Mac's Antique Auto Parts, Four-speed Parts Specialties (213 336 2128), Obsolete Ford Parts Inc (405 631 3933 or 7213), Dove Manufacturing, Columbia Station, Ohio (rabid Ford guys), Or if you look in Hemmings Motor News you'll find guys with semi trailers full of this stuff.
