Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm am splitting my 411 and when doing so I can not seem to get the
input shaft to come out of crankshaft, I have split it apart about a foot. It seems to be loose inside the transmission
but tight in the crankshaft. Any suggestions would be awesome.

You may give us an idea how you are supporting the rear and the motor end of the tractor. As you split her, she may have dropped{bowed} at the split. Take up on the motor end slightly, to get her out of the bind . Are you working with a service manual? Chuck

I have both ends held up with stands. I've tried raising and lowering. Can't seem to get it to budge. Yes I have a manual to go by. I've split a couple tractors before but never this small, and never had this problem.

Well I got the shaft out. All I did was walk in the shop today and touched the shaft and it came right out! The power of just letting it sit over night.

if you have it a foot apart all should be free,,, only thing I can think of is maybe the pilot bearing is stuck on the trans shaft,, never seen one move that far and not come apart
