Splitting a 4000 with a loader attached

My tractor had got worse about shifting into gears while running. I have adjusted the clutch according to the manual and very little travel is needed to disengage the clutch. I'm thinking it's time to replace it and don't want to remove the loader. Can this be done while it's attached?

No I have some left but the pedal has an inch of free travel like the manual says. The tractor is a 69 4000 diesel with a i9-449 loader

The pedal should have 1 inch to 1 1/2 of free travel, then it should take another 1-2 inches of pedal travel before the clutch releases
Does the clutch slip under load in high gear
Not knowing what loader you have makes it difficult to say if it needs to come out
Having the loader off will make the job easier

The clutch doesn't slip in any gear high or low range. I just can't get it into gear when it's running. It grinds like the transmission isn't slowing down.
