Which recyclable spray bottle works best with wd-40. I paid $3-$4 for a new one at big box store and after a few months it failed.

Look at US plastics.

I have not used their spray bottles but everything I have got there has been very good.

Since WD40 is mostly kerosene look for something petroleum rated.

Why not buy a trigger spray pump container of WD40 and refill as needed? Surely their own container would stand up to their product!

You are wrong about that, my WD40 pump lasted less than a year. PBlaster spray can lasted longer.

+1 on a spray can.

If you go that route. Get one rated for flammable liquids.
A measuring cup and funnel makes them easier to fill. Do not over tighten the filler cap. And a tire inflator with a lever works great to pressurize one.

I think some of you have unrealistic expectations for the rubber components in spray bottles. They aren’t a lifetime product, especially when suspended in solvents. The chemical resistant ones will last longer, but will still fail. Bottles are cheap, just expect to replace them every few months if you store chemicals in them.

A metal milwaukee sprayer is prolly best long term.

I use them for brake cleaner and light solvents.

I've had good luck with the ZEP ones from Home Depot as well as the CRC and Wd40 ones. I'd say one year is a good run.

We use Vaper brand sprayers for brake cleaner. They have rebuild kits available if the valve starts leaking. Pressurize with shop air.

For several years, I use a half dozen of these sprayers for misc they hold to penetrating oils, including atf/acetone. I also use them for degreaser, soapy water, and disinfectants. They are cheap enough to sacrifice for certain jobs too. I started using these because I was tired of spending $5-10 dollars on decent spray bottles only to find out they are junk too. I've killed a couple of these, knowing things like paint strippers, and harsh solvents are bad, it's not a huge deal if one fails, just save it for parts, haha. Most of mine came from harbor freight, found on a cheap sidewalk sale, they are normally only $5 though.

This is probably the "sure shot"air pressurized steel container. They come under may different names. $40.00. I used to have WD-40 in mine, but it has had fuel in it for a couple years now. Just fill with your preferred liquid and charge with air. I have had mine for probably over ten years.

My WD40 sprayer bottle failed miserably also... here would be an opportunity for WD40 to invest in some good advertising to represent their product. I've had better service from reuse of $store spray bottles - go figure.

I've tried 3 different wd branded spray bottles and one still kind of maybe works sometimes and the other two are junk. My wife brought some small mty spray bottles on Amazon and I've been using a couple of them for WD40.

I use a metal pump oil can with Kroil.
One is over 20 years old.

We just use a coffee can with a brush for oiling chains and parts during assembly and disassembly. I als use a few cans of brake parts cleaner in aerosol cans when in the field for cleaning things if need be. For penetrating fluid I like diesel fuel it seems to soak in when not much else will and I have plenty of it around and is relatively cheap compared to the price of most squirrel pee stuff on a per gallon basis.
