Spray gun tip size

I just purchased a $10 HVLP spray gun from HF. It has a 1.4 tip. POR-15 says to use a 1.5-1.6 tip. Is this smaller tip going to make much difference. I'm just painting a dump trailer. Thanks

You might have to thin the paint a little but should be alright.

Wonder how closely they copied another brand gun?

Possibly a name brand tip will fit.

I sure hope you are going to spray
outside and well away from any buildings
with a good filter. That stuff is nasty.

1.4 top is just fine I use it for all my
spraying from undercoat to top coat 3:1
mix majority of time . It will give a
fine finish especially with your gun
being a HVLP
