Spray recommend for soybeans weed control

Hey yall, having issues with rag weed and mares tail this year. Seems my usual roundup and dicamba isnt cutting it. What is a good spray to use that wont break the bank?

Sencor Treflan tank mix....are you sure you are getting enough on?...pretty unusual for Roundup not to work...

Next year switch to liberty link beans and marestail will be gone in the field each year. Or spray metrabuzin preemerge post plant. We have went to spraying preemerge with Dual and sencor/ metrabuzin then come back with the liberty for clean up on escapes. Roundup is getting just about useless for a herbicide since so much is getting resistant to it. Works in corn with Atrazine and Capreneo. If you have the either or beans you can still use liberty on them safely. I still need to do the second trip now. I guess I may get real busy with wheat to cut beans to spray second trip and second cutting coming on.

I have good luck with 40 oz. of roundup and .5 oz of classic also add 2 lbs. of ams per acre.Extra surfactant helps out.

Does metrabuzin work for weeds that are up and beans that are sprouting?

I don't grow soybeans anymore due to too much deer predation, but many of the guys who still try around here are going to a pre-emerge program again. I'm not sure what else is available out there for post-emerge as I have only paid attention to offerings for corn since I quit beans.

What is classic and AMS? Never heard of those.

Classic is old school broadleaf herbicide that has been around for over 30 years, and AMS is a water conditioner.I have a neighbor that killed marestail 3 feet tall with it years ago.

AMS is ammonium sulfate. Always use it when spraying roundup (generic), never seemed to work if we left it out. My chemical guy sells stuff called Turbo that is a water conditioner containing ams that is mixed in first according to the volume of spray used (1-2qt./100gal.) Learned the hard way not to use at 2qt./100gal. post-emerge, hard on the beans. I've had enough trouble with resistant marestail/horseweed that I've gone to all E3 (enlist) beans. Residuals like dual, sencor, metribuzin, etc. just never seemed to work for us. Paul

Metribuzin had to be sprayed before the beans are up. Sencor /Metribuzin are mostly one in the same and have to be done preemerge. Classic can be sprayed over top and is a contact like roundup. If the beans are up your pretty much screwed for this year. Cultivation will probably ruin the bean crop breaking the bean plants off with the big weeds as they fall over and drag with the cultivator. Like I said if you have beans that can be sprayed with both roundup or liberty spray them with the liberty and do it now. Could see about putting some cadet in with it also some AMS to heat it up a bit if needed. Talk to your rep about the situation and see what they suggest.

I have never seen a broadleaf survive a dicamba application. Its too late now to hit it again with dicamba and roundup will only stunt them. I switched to enlist beans and have the liberty and enlist option for broadleaf's.

This is a combination that will take care of mares tail and other resistant weeds. Too late for this year but you will have clean bean fields.

2nd year on Enlist E3 beans. Monsoon season here in Central MO from late March to late May and didn't get beans planted until early June so no preplant but started with a clean field from tillage. My plan post this year which will get sprayed in about 7-10 days or so:

40 oz Liberty (or generic)
3 lbs DRY AMS to make the Liberty work right
32 oz Enlist One
Clethodim for grass & volunteer corn
Outlook for the residual.

I used Zidua for my residual last year but looking forward this year I don't expect as regular rain and it needs like an inch? to activate. Outlook doesn't need but maybe 1/4"? to activate. It's less expensive than Zidua but doesn't work quite as well (the classic trade off).

If I get broadleaf escapes like pigweed, I'll have to hit it again with another 40-42oz Liberty post pass.
