Sprayer tank

There are people in this area who do 'plastic welding' on ag tanks. Never had anything repaired, but supposedly it works. There are probably plastic repair people in your area, too.

They make what's known as a "poly welder". It's basicly a large "glue gun" that utilizes a type of welding rod that melts the plastic and seals the cracks. It doesn't work too good if the crack is in the seam of the tank. It might be good for a short term fix. Plastic usually doesn't crack unless it is old. 'May just have to bite the bullet.

BTDT.......plastic 'welder' might work; I've got my doubts about the other repairs mentioned. UV rays are tough unless it's a plastic designed to handle the sunlight. Cracked the tank on my Spray Coupe; tried fiberglass, JB Weld, Bondo, etc. Because of the flex in the tank, nothing would hold. Finally bolted in a couple of thin metal plates....over the fiberglass.....to hold it together; it still cracked, but only seeped a little, which at the time, I could live with. I've no doubt any of the fixes mentioned by the other posters will work on a stationary tank.

Go to your nearest small airport and get some PRC1435 fuel tank sealer. If the area is clean and dry, it will stick and won't come loose.
