I started working ground in NE Wyoming Feb 3, hay ground harrowing was first,, got over the 3xx acres, much of it was worked twice,, some three times, then started on summer fallow ground and planting, finished up the 350 acres of that now,, we had a very dry winter again, moved snow once, and that was only 4" or so,, was hoping for the winter storm that hot us yesterday would bury us,, 2-3" of snow built up plus some rain first so at least it was enough to give the pastures and fields some much needed h20,, still not anything in my stock watering ponds,, maybe this will start the water for us,, west of me they got 3 feet that blew up 5 foot drifts but sounds like that was not a larger area. A few shots from this years work

Good to hear from you again. Thought it might be early out there with the hot weather in the southwest. When the ground is right, ya gotta go!! Gary from snowy Minnesota.

Always enjoyed your posts and comparing your area with where I live, in farming practices. Lived in Utah for a little over a year, and there, if it didn't get irrigated, it didn't grow. Been dry here also, until this morning, when it poured rain.

We've got plenty of moisture here in SE MN. After getting 12-25" of snow a couple weeks ago the past couple days have been rain. Some minor flooding in spots. Delayed some farmers after trying to hit it hard early last week when it was 70 and 60 degree days. Chilly this Easter weekend slowly warming up but also more chances of rain ahead this week.

Good to have you back Tom. Sorry to hear of your moisture situation.
Don,
As you probably know, it's just the opposite for us here in NE Wisconsin. 20+ inches of snow 2 weeks ago and 5 inches of rain last Saturday. It will be a couple of weeks before we can start spring planting, if we don't get any more rain.
