Square baler??

A friend mentioned helping bale hay with an old JD model P baler. I've never heard of a model P. Is there such a model? He said it was very old and looked like a prototype with an auger feed.

I saw no model P baler listed in JD parts but I saw one designated as Heavy Pickup baler & one designated as power take-off baler

Some balers use a t in the ID, like 14t?? Sounds a bit like P...

We had a 24T with an auger and PTO drive. It was used, but generally reliable. We had to have about 10 lbs of various shear pins on hand and it lasted until dad got out of the cattle business.

As mentioned theres a T model. One could get confused if it was over phone or even still in person I suppose. We had a 14..T 2 summers ago, got it Fer $600 worked ok. could just ask em again tho. To my knowledge no, never heard of a p.
