Standard 3 wheel garden tractor

I acquired this 3 wheel Standard garden tractor not long ago and plan on restoring it back to original condition. Does anyone out there have information about Standard tractors? I believe they were bought out by Bantam in the 50's. Years built? How many? I heard there was a 1.5hp kiddie version and would like to know what model and type engine was used originally.

Watch you don't mix up the Standard Tractor Company with . . . the Standard division of Skirvin Corp. that made Bantam tractors. They have no connection.

I might have a few Briggs 9FBs laying around. I'll have to dig around in my barn when the weather warms up. I've got over 100 old garden tractors piled up (my junkers).

Bantam was created by Woodrow Wilson Skirvin. He got government money to make airplane parts during WWII. Then started his own business. First focus was motor scooters.

1951, Skirvin was selling the Cycle-Scoot. May have also had the Bantam tractor by that time.

1955 - Skirvin Corporation, Standard Division made Bantam tractors, 3448 South Shelby
St., Indianapolis, Indiana.

1957 - Bantam Tractor Corp, 701 Lafayette Ave, Lebanon, Indiana.

1958, July 8 - Bantam Corp of Indianapolis Indiana was bankrupt and got sold to Falls
Products of Genoa,Illinois.
