Standard tractors

Not familiar wis Ford tractors. Did Ford ever produce a standard tractor? I am not talking about the old Fordsons but newer than the N series.

Standard tractor and wheatland tractor are somewhat interchangeable terms it seems like. Those tractors commonly had nonadjustable front axles, wide and round rear fenders, wider rear tires, often no 3 point hitch, etc. Ford did make a wheatland 6000 if that answers your question.

It sounds like a standard tractor had no hydraulics, no 3pt, no draft, no power steering, no charging system, no lights........ and was basic tug... for pulling towed plows and implements. NO fancy anything, just lots of weight and a tow bar or as some call it, a draw bar. It would work well on long long fields with very little turning. About as sophisticated as a pair of mules. NO wait, mules are way more sophisticated. I stand corrected.

I agree with Husker 50 and Sean, that standard, wheat-land and Utility are all pretty much interchangeable. Probably partly geographical.

Standard tread is ground working only no row crop cultivating. The fowling
tractors are standard tread, John Deere D, AR, R, 80 820, 830. McCormick 10-
20, 15-30, low down wide front version of the Farmal H and M. Cannot think
of model numbers now. Oliver and Moline also made a standard version that
was a wide front low down on smaller rear wheels. The standard could have
hydrolics or not depending on model and year. The John Deere AR had 26 inch
rear wheels while the A had 38 inch rear wheels. Tractor data will tell the
model for all standard tractors.
