Starter bolts size?

Hey all,
My tractor came to me without a starter or any bolts.
I bought a starter but don't know what bolts to find to put it in.

What tractor and what engine? Not all starter bolts are the same. You can try bolts in the holes to find what one threads in, then figure out a length based on how thick the starter ears are plus a couple times the bolt diameter to thread in to hold it.

As asked with out knowing what tractor you have it is hard to say for sure. The bolts that hold the starter on an 8N are not the same as the ones to hold the starter on a 601/801

Find a bolt that matches the threads in the starter housing, then gauge the length by the starter

Without looking i think 3/8 x 1 1/2 in. course threads.
