Starter for my M

I need a new starter for my M. Can I use a 6 volt starter even though it's converted to 12 volt?

They work BEST that way.

No worries - a 6 volt starter will work fine on 12 volts!

Incidentally the factory 6 volt starter on my Super M has been on 12 volts for about 35 years. It continues to work fine.
