starter leaks

I have a 1969 580ck with 159 4 cyl, saw oil or some some kind liquid dripping out of the starter. any ideas? Thanks Dan
 
yes that is torque coverter oil your starter has a internal seal that is bad( or it has been replaced with a non sealed unit) a good starter repair servise wiil be able to fix it not the best for to have oil on armateur and brushes ect. cnt
