starter slow spin

I have a Kubota B7200 and just replaced starter because old one would not spin fast enough to start. Everything worked great until this week when the starter slowed again with a fully charged battery. What am I missing? I can turn engine over with fan and it turns over easily with starter with compression released. The idiot lights will not light. Hope someone has a solution.

What condition are the starter cables in and are they big enough? Diesel starterss take a lot of current due to the high compression ratio so the cables need to be big(size O)and the fittings clean and not internally corroded. Addtionally, the solenoid that connects the starter to the battery needs to have good contacts. It goes without saying that the battery terminals need to be bright and tight. Check the voltage at the starter when you try a start. If memmory serves me correctly, they should be no less than ~9 V during starting. Any lower and there"s high resisitance somewhere between the battery and the starter.
