starters from this site

yes I bought one about two years ago and sold it the other day for scrap{it had been removed from tractor for year and a half}. It was for twelve volts and it was so weak it was next to worthless. took it apart and it only had two field coils. and two blank, empty coils. My advice, rebuild yours or find one that can be. near total waste of money. I live in tx. so the colder climates would be even worse.

I have no personal experience with the units sold on this site but can verify that most (all?) new aftermarket starters are far from OEM design specs.

You will be sell served to have your OEM starter rebuilt by a competent rebuilder.

i guess like all modern vehicle parts, its a mater of luck, ive been running one of these on my jubilee for 3 years with no problems, and this tractor works for a living

(quoted from post at 16:39:13 04/15/13) there is not much but the outer housing that is use able.how about n complete starters?

I think there is only one company that builds new starters. Won't make any difference who you buy it from, you're going to get the same starter.
