I bought a CA to get running again. It has been modified by previous owners. One item that has me confused is the steering box. I don't believe it is a CA box but I don't have enough experience with these to identify it. It has some residual orange paint on it so I figured it is probably an Allis of some kind.
I will attach pictures. The steering box was not bolted to the torque tube under the cover. Some kind of "adapter" was made and it was bolted through two of the 4 mounting holes.
The Steering Arm was down not up like a CA should be and was short, about 11.5 in. long. Has a number cast in it that looks like 3683299????7. You can maybe tell from the photo that is has been hammered on in its past. It steered correctly.
It is a wide front tractor.
Any information you can give me would be helpful.
