steering wheel (powered) cross compatibility between models

I found a nice steering wheel and center cap that -looks- like the aged wheel on my 504U, but the seller bought it in an auction and doesn't have a clue what it came off of.

My question is: Do the steering wheel hubs share a compatible shaft diameter/spline between models, or do I have to press the seller for measurement information that they seem incapable of providing?
