Steering Wheel Removal

Having a heck of a time getting the steering wheel off my Ford 3000. Our guess is that its been on there since day one. Tried penetrating oil, small hammer, big hammer, wheel puller and it won't budge. Any
suggestions?

You either didn't use a big enough puller and/or you didn't hit it hard enough. Hopefully Ultradog replies back with a picture of his puller.

The dawgs is a good'n also sorry I don't have a pix of it. I would resist banging are wiggling it when I went after mine the first time just to put a new wheel on it the upper seal went to leaking : (

I use a bearing splitter with a two bolt steering wheel puller. But I have had a couple that lived their lives as manure scrapers, that I had to break the plastic away and use a die grinder and cutting wheel to get the hub off.

I would go the grind it off with a cutting disc and buy yourself a new steering wheel...probably time for it anyway. Top seal leaks on PS units is no fun.

I got lucky SNE put my knees under it and put up pressure on it while wiggling it . I did soak it heavily before. Find splines. Used a puller another time and bought a new wheel.
