steering wheel remove

on a ym155 how do you remove the center cover of the steering wheel and then the steering itself By the cover I mean were old time car had the horn button , does it pop off or how is it held to the wheel

Pretty sure it just pops off. I know my 2002 does and the 165. You will find a nut under it.

thanks Winston , tried it didn't work for me there is a 5/16 hole in the middle and three 3/16 holes around the edge about 1/4 inch from edge I can feel the nut from the center but have to try to get a phillips in the smaller holes if they are phillips screws , after 30 yrs you know how easy that would be ,would need a 5 lb sledge But thanks for the advise one other thing what color is the factory ym155 mine are yellow Thanks again Bill

I am color blind but thats what it looked like to me But I think mine will wind up High gloss red Thanks Winston I see on another board that you are on some one asked the same question about steering wheel removal And a yanmar dealer answered saying apply a lot of heat but do not melt and it would come right off and new one can be bought

talking about the one with a back hoe if you guys say that's green its green but being color blind its yellow to me .interesting
what is behind the front bumper in front of the grill , are those hydraulic hoses going to a pump driven off the front PTO????
