Steiner Sterring Wheels

I have got a '40 ZTU with the factory dual bar steering wheel, but the rubber has crumbled off badly this year. So, its either time for a Christmas present for me or a good idea for someone else. My question is this; knowing Steiners sells the steering wheels, although marketed under Case, are their steering wheels good? Do they fit on good or do you need to do a lot of "fanangling" to get them to fit correctly? Or do I pay twice the money and go to Minn-Kota Repair?

Any advise from those who have been down this road would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Aaron

I have used multiple steering wheels from steiners on multiple brands and each has gone right on without incident.

The case will fits but its a couple of inches smaller. I put one on my early u. The plastic is cheesy but its better than nothing.

We put one on my brothers "41 UTU; we had to open up the hole on the steering wheel just a little bit with a Dremel; not much though. Looks good, but a little smaller in diameter like Gengrich said. UTU steers easy so no worries.

I took a look at the CKS115 steering wheel from Steiners marketed for Case machines. It shows it is 17" but mine measures 18" outside to outside, so I know it is smaller. Is there anyone who has the correct double spoke steering wheel ready for purchase without any adjustments or widdlin'?
