STIHL parts source?

Looking down a thread I see another chainsaw post. I'm having the no spark issue on a Sthil MS250C, the so called easy start model. I can buy coils all day for $10 for the MS250 but the MS250C takes a special coil available from Steal for around $100. The saw isn't worth that much. Nothing currently on Ebay so was wondering if anyone knows of a STIHL Bone yard or similar source. The part number on my coil is #1123-400-1301.

Check ebay again. Your part number shows up for $20.00 plus $4.53 delivery. New after market I believe.

Yep, they don't know it's a different part and are assuming an MS250 is the same as an MS250C, got that part already sitting new in the box, bolt pattern is completely wrong, not worth returning for the price. Already wasted an afternoon trying to get it in there. The Easy start model coil puts out a lot more juice and bolts up different. I gleaned the part information and availability from a major parts house that has a one liner buried in their description about these coils only available from Steal. It's only the easy start model. There was one on Ebay last year for for $20.

Ron's saw shop in South Dakota. Haven't dealt with'm in several years but he was the best.

also same type of coil on the older style 025 bigger windings and thicker laminations been there done that and a built in ground wire

I had the same issue a year or two back on an 066 MAG saw.
Bishop's in Perry, KS. came up with the needed coil for that saw.
I will add that saw is better than 35 yrs old.
Still does a good job.
