Still won't start

Hello, all. Back again with my (digital) hat in hand, looking for knowledge. Finally found the source of my inconsistent starter problem - bad ground at the battery (pretty basic) and bad positive connector at the selenoid. My 8N (1950, front mount distributer) still won't start. Good spark from all four wires, but we found the front two spark plugs are wet with fuel and the back two are bone dry. Didn't have a compression gauge available, but the carefully calibrated thumb sees all four cylinders as about the same compression. Fuel is flowing to the carb. Any ideas?

Thanks again

Yep - used the extra plug you recommend I keep in the tool box with the wider gap - used the starter motor back end as the ground.

Thanks!

Art.......enny time you have WET sparkies, guess what??? they ain't firing. Check yer firing order, 1,2,4,3 CCW. Its very eazy fer neubie shadetree mechanics to swap two of the 4-nipple wires and guess what??? WET sparkies. Remember cylinder #1 is next to the radiator. Usually, sparkies 3&4 gitt swapped. ........Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister
