Stop pin replacemant

How do you replace the stop pin, part no. A766R on a 1939A. Is it just pressed into a blind hole or is it threaded? Mine is worn off enough that it lets sector disconnect from the steering shaft worm gear and you loose steering. Thanks

Pretty sure you meant A776R and I am also pretty sure it just presses in.
