Dirty bugger red tractor is stressing me out!

Only thing I know to cure that ailment is go get a diesel combine engine and start working on it instead. Can't get any tractor parts today anyhoo. :>)

Gonna cart 'er into town and run it thru the wishy-washy to get all the crud off 'er, bring it home, back it in the garage, hook up some diesel fuel and a battery and see if that old dog runs.

I was worried about tipping it over just starting it while sitting on the ground. Since it's clamped to that trailer, that ought to hold it down.

Hope the dern thing runs. :>)

Are you sure the "gasser" doesn't have ice in the air cleaner filter or too heavy oil if it is an oil bath type?

Knew somebody would catch that one.

I was fiddlin' with it the other day and didn't finish my job of straighten out the counter weights.

Better hurry up and get it fixed before it rains.........no, wait a minute. It doesn't ever rain here. 7.99 inches on the year so far. :>)

allan, you could try and see if you can get a set of anti -fouling caps for the spark plugs, that will back em out of the combustion chamber and keep em from sootin up.

On your note of the engine flipping over while running. I am currently attending vocational school and during our work on engines we often end up test running them out of their equipment. I was mightily surprised at just how well some of them will sit there and run. Not that strapping it down is a bad idea. If it runs rough at all it could well start hopping about on you. Well, Allan, your rain totals are certainly in the desert classification. We are about 20 inches below normal here and are in a serious drought with no end in sight. Atlanta, GA has about a 132 day supply of water and that's about 200 miles South of me.

Nice looking little trailer. Looks like 10 feet long, made from 3 inch angle iron(if it's 1/4 inch thick it's plenty strong) and a 3500 pound axle. Should carry anything you can sensibly put on it. Hope engine runs nice and smooth.

You're pretty good at figuring things out so why not make that nice "new" diesel engine a quick attach? Then you could put on the tractor for the winter and the combine in the summer when you need it. Shouldn't be too hard for someone with your extensive talents. Dave

do the car washes ever have problems with chemicals,oil and grease being washed down their drains or are they set up to take that kind of stuff?

my washes have 1000 gallon pits per bay to catch and hold most crud and dirt ,we pump them out every other year or so ,but to date the city has never bothered us for what goes into there system for the past years it's been open

Ya still talking about those plugs fowling? I'm telling you,if you can find some of those extentions I was telling you about,they work. Cured my frustration on the 1600 Oliver.
