How far can u go? who do you send the parts to? has anyone done this before and have any tips or pointers? any info would be appreciated!

Contact "JD-B Puller"and he can tell you all you want to know...
I imagine you can get up to around 7 1/2" Stoke into a "B"...maybe even more...!!

Ron.

It really depends on how much work you want to do and what bore you want. When I do them, I back the stroke down to increase the journals as the bore goes up. No sense in creating a time bomb.

Bigger bore = less stroke
Smaller bore = More Stroke
More work (griding/clearancing) = more stroke
less work = less stroke

Anywhere from 7" (easy)- 8" (PITA) w/o moving the camshaft.

so if i am stock stroke, and i can go up to 7-8 inches, who can i send the parts to? and I would rather go as far as I can without moving the cam, then i can keep my bore, correct?

If you go with the long stroke, you should also go with as large a Bore as you can..at least a 5" power block..maybe even as far as 6" bore, or more...

There is NO substitute for Cubic Inches...!!

Ron..

(quoted from post at 03:44:21 07/14/09) 7.75x5.125, a cam, and a worked over heisler got me just under 70

Little Big B, you're going to have to change your handle to "Good Sized B"...

Lazy B, e-mail me or call me and I'll get you some places to send your stuff.
