Mercedes Unimog, these are used for transport and all other agricultural work on European farms. We once sold a Ransomes three furrow reversible plough to a contractor who used it, on a Unimog, in our area. The same plough was normally used behind a Ford 5000 or 7000 by our customers. the most common use for them on local farms was with a crop sprayer.

I worked in a strip mine and company bought one in the 80s. It was suppose to go just about anywhere you wanted to go. That didnt work. Stayed broke down most the time. They put tractor type tires on it. Still got stuck like everything else. Waste of money. Must been a good salesman. Lol

Most of the railroads spray herbicide beside the tracks to reduce fire danger.
