Super 55 Hitch filter

Hey Guys,

I mowed with my Super 55 today for the first time, went well. The fitting on top of the lift cover where the filter is leaks. I assume it's threaded on, does it have a flat gasket or an o ring for a seal? I hate to take it off and disable the tractor.

I am waiting for a manual to come in the mail, hang in there with me. Thanks

Fitting? Maybe one of the vents. Did it ever leak before?

the filer cover you are refering to, should be about 3 1/2" diameter and come to a taper away from the block.
There should be a hex. bole head thee--this hex head is the bolt that holds everything together. Undo this bolt, about an 11/16 wrench, then everything should come off.
You should get a filter element and it should have a seal for the lip in housing where the filter can mounts, as well as a seal for under the head of the filterbolt
