Super 55 Paperweight

So last month, I was mowing and my Super 55 would not strt the next day.
Changed the clamps and off we went.
Next day, back to paperweight status.
Waited for payday, got her a 3 yr 65 group battery and put that in today.
Vroooooom!! :-) Did my happy dance and put gas in, and mowed.
The battery 'plate' is a disintegrating piece of plywood
Yesterday has a plate in stock ... do I really need it???

Probably not, as long as you have a way to hold it down so it's not sliding around. Won't win any beauty contests that way, but as long as it's functional.....
