Super 88 questions

Hi fellas, I am looking at buying a Super 88 that has been sitting for years, so to say the least it is a non runner at this point.
Here are my questions. It has spin out rims in the back, is this a option on these tractors?
Also it has a tach and hour meter in the dash, is this a option? I thought they only had the under dash tach.
This tractor also has the air pre cleaner threw the hood with what I call the 1650 style pre cleaner with the bowl on it.

Those are the things that seemed way different than my 88 so I figured I would ask those that know.

Thanks in advance.

It’s a gas, seems like it should be a good addition to my collection. Just don’t know much about them. Growing up everybody in our neighborhood either had 77 or 770s. I never been around in 88 or super 88 until I bought my 88 last year.

First thing I look at is tires , clutch , brake pedals, and egg shaped drawbar pin hole.
Then I open the radiator cap and look for oil on top of coolant. Or missing from site, then check the crankcase for coolent. This what I do primarily surfaces for leak along the engine block . Take spark plug wrench with you and pull them out if seller agrees to the examination.
Take your time, probably a nice tractor to put in your collection after a good going over, its a 70 tear old tractor got to have some wear and tear.

Sounds like you might have found an Improved Super 88? Is the battery door like your 88 or is it larger and sits down over the hood? If it's even for sale, it needs to be at your place yesterday. Never mind looking it over.

It has the lid that goes over the hood, also has key start. Yesterday I had to pull up a video from Ross the Oliver man and I thought to this one might be an improved model. I have a bid into the owner and am waiting to hear back.
The tires are old but not weather cracked, antifreeze is up and looks good. Oil does not look bad, I know that doesnt tell the whole story.

Maybe? Is there a part of the serial number that spells that out. I have been looking for a description of the model and serial number, no luck

We have an 58' 880.Diesel Wasn't stuck. But we've put a nice chunk into that pump. Still working on getting it all done back together.
Good luck. Nice find on the latest style Super 88.
Would fit in our herd too.!
