Just picked up a parts tractor from a tractor
salvage yard....mostly intact....has what seems to be an OEM hood emblem above the Ford emblem that says "Super 8"......never saw or heard of it before....it is a later 8n model tractor with
a side mount distributor, and a proofmeter...
Can anyone enlighten me on the "Super 8" emblem??......I bought it mostly for the block....looks good....hope it stamds up
to the magnafluxing!

It is obviously an aftermarket, custom made or transplanted automotive emblem. It is not a Ford tractor OEM item.

That is a hood emblem from a 1946-48 Ford car. There were emblems for Super Deluxe "8" and Super Deluxe "6".

Those might be the finishing touch for a Funk conversion!

I wish brother...that it was a funk!!
its unreal though.....it fits the hood perfectly

looks as if it was made to fit an 8n hood...weird!!

I'll bet that the same stylists designed the sheetmetal on both products. Common in those days. Now they have design studios in LA and Asia.
