Super 90 batteries

PN 832709M2 is the battery that massey used in the super 90 diesel tractor. This battery is no longer available and no replacement is suggested. What was the CCA for for this battery and what are the dimensions of it? What is available to replace it?

Do you have the old battery measurements? With those you can determine the BCI group number. Then go for the highest CCA you can get in that group.

I found a newer AGCO battery chart and for the Super 90 it lists group 24 with 585 CCA, group 24 with 800 CCA, or group 30H with 700 CCA. It doesn't tell which is for gas and which is for diesel.

I would go with 800 cca. 585 seems to low. Depends on where you live. If cold location you will need the larger battery.

I had a Super 90 for many years and I used two group 30 batteries in it connected in parallel for the 12 volt system. I believe the group 31 batteries will also work. Thsee batteries are part of the secret to these tractors staring so well in cold weather as the two batteries roll it over fast enough to start well. I believe group 24 battery were used in the gas tractors and the group 30 or 31 in the diesels. Hope this helps.
