When I tore my tractor down, I found someone in the past had welded the right brake pedal to the shaft. I had to grind through the weld to get it apart which ruind the shaft and the pedal. I ordered a replacement shaft from OEM Tractor Parts and when I got it, the hole for the keeper bolt was in a different position. If used this way the serations for the parking brake are in the wrong position. The guy at the store (a nice gentleman) told me they had a jig and made all of these shafts the same way and he has never seen this before, but agreed with me that mine was different. I know IH did some parts swapping back in the day when these old tractors were being built. Could my shaft be from something else? It was all together, lined up, and worked the way it was before, so I know this new position will not work on my tractor. OEM said they would make me one with no hole so I could drill it where I wanted it, which is great. But has anyone come across this before?
