I've got a Super A with a chattering
clutch. I believe it has got hot spots
on the flywheel or pressure plate from
the previous owner... Is there any
thing I can do or try before pulling it
down to replace the parts? Thanks!

im no expert but i believe youll need to get the flywheel resurfaced and a new clutch , pressure plate and throw out bearing.

(quoted from post at 06:56:47 04/15/20) It is chattering when engaging; as you let the clutch out to start the tractor rolling.

Probably will need to at the very least remove the clutch to see what the problem is and if going to do that as others have said resurface the flywheel and install new/rebuilt disc, presure plate and throwout bearing. Might as well do it right once and not need to do it again or at least for many years.

One other thing check for any oil leaking from rear seal of engine, oil on brakes or clutch can make operations jerky.
